Festival Looks Made Easy

Festival Looks Made Easy

Earlier this week I was asked to pop into Westfield London for a bit of filming where I talked about some of the key trends for menswear’s autumn and winter collection. My blogger friends Fashion Foie GrasAlex LovesLLYMLRS and Fashionista Barbie were participating in this Westfield London project along with me and they all had their own allocated trends to talk about. I was handed a gift card, and asked to go and buy some some products for menswear and was given complete freedom to buy from any shops I wanted within the shopping centre. It was so much fun going into shops like TOPSHOP with a mini TV crew, to look at some of the clothes they had, and picking out pieces that caught my attention.

The very first item I chose was a gorgeous military winter coat from TOPMAN inside TOPSHOP. Military is one of the trends returning this season and the reason why I chose a coat is simply because no matter what you are wearing, this coat will make you look super stylish. Whether you choose to dress up, or have a lazy day when you want to wear a very simple t-shirt and jeans – simply put this coat on and you will look great no matter where you go. It’s also perfect for all occasions – whether you are heading out for dinner, going to a wedding or simply popping to the shops. I love the epaulettes. It also has a belt which to me is a delight because it will make your waist look smaller, resulting in broader looking shoulders. You can buy this at TOPMAN for £90.

Studs is another major trend for autumn and winter and while women have been spoilt with endless products featuring studs – jackets, shorts, shoes, jumpers – we men have not been quite so lucky to have such a huge range to choose from. So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this jumper inside ZARA which is part of the new collection. I know men in general don’t really like experimenting with daring colours, so I thought this was perfect in plain black. It’s not too wild yet still makes a statement. Retailing for £29.99, this is a steal.
